Overload and Catch-Up

I have to admit that I have not been here lately due to an overload… lots of things happening though and in the next couple of weeks I’ll do some major catching up.

I managed to get hold of a HTC TyTN of a wonderful woman Dawn who sold it to me for a ’sort of fair price’ Nice phone and lots of functions and that is about it. I don’t like it at all and am reselling it. There are too many issues with this, partly because it is Windows mobile and the rendering of sites even compliant ones break. Further to this it is too fiddly for my liking. Touch screen capabilities is just about non-existent when it comes to closing pages and so it goes on… I’m just too tired to review it right now and will sit down soon and properly go over it.

Lot’s of updated mobile development news at the Planet Mobile Web, good place to keep informed. Found an interesting gem there a new book by Barbara Ballard Designing the Mobile User Experience, John Wiley & Sons, 2007. It is now on my self-give list for the holidays.
A W3 Mobile web validator should be in every mobile webmasters toolbox. Search and Go are now inthe third phase of development the news and discussion areas, fourth phase will be getting elements mobile ready.
